The ringing team was ringing in Valen. In started slowly in morning and peaked at around 9-11 o’clock. They caught 91 birds of 14 species. One reed warbler recapture from France. Other species:

Today we ringed in Vallen from 3:15 to 09:00. The responsible ringer was CSP. We caught a total of 80 birdsof 16 species, 32 of these birds were recaptures. Species numbers are:

European Reed Warbler: 10
Icterine Warbler: 1
Willow Warbler: 4
Yellow Wagtail: 1
Reed Bunting: 20
Bearded Tit: 15

First ringing season in Banvallen with BNN. We ringed icterine warbler, sedge warbler, blackbird, thrush nightingale and some species more.
The GRW team has checked all the lake. One new male was found. GRW team has ringed chicks of two different nest and four logger were put.

Marsh Harriers
We looked for two nest. We could find one nest but the chicks were too small to be ringed.
Skylark
We tried to find some skylark nests but, sadly, we couldn’t find any.
Ortolans

Skylark and Ortolan observations were carried out in the morning, and in the afternoon the first marsh harrier chicks of the season were ringed.

Skylark and Ortolan observations were made in the morning, and in the afternoon marsh harrier observations were made. As well, a preparation to repair a boardwalk and grass cutting has begun today.
