During the last couple of weeks in the season myself and Martin became very very busy. It is with great regret that I didnt find time to the diary throughout this period. We finally reached the 6000 new birds for the season mark on 29th September at Ässön where we took 50 Siskins and a flock of 20+ Mixed tits. The 6000th bird was a Willow Tit.

The station has now been vacated for the season and all work finished.

Ringed at Öby Kulle again due to very high winds elsewhere.

Gale force winds again today so no CES ringing. Instead we put up 4 nets in a still spot on Öby Kulle. 16 New birds in 3 hours (before the rain came)

Not at all a bad little session. Many Siskins fed on Öby and a Black Woodpecker put in a brief appearance!

Gale force winds today so no attempt made early morning. We managed to find a still spot on Öby Kulle and so have set some net rides there for the next few windy days (just so we can catch some birds)...
